This cemetery is located west of Gladewater on Hwy. 80, behind the Glade Memorial Cemetery just inside the Upshur County line. Take Hwy. 80 W from Gladewater, turn right on Locust Rd. for 1 mile. The access road is approximately 50 yards on the left. The cemetery is surrounded by a 4 foot high cyclone fence. It is well kept and in use. The cemetery sits on the edge of a grove of trees, with several large oak trees, making this a very peaceful and undisturbed setting.

As hard as we all try, we are human and sometimes when reading a cemetery we miss a grave covered with leaves, fireants, or bushes. Sometimes the headstone has sunk and is mostly underground. Our area also has many graves only marked with iron ore rocks and even many unmarked graves. There are headstones that have long ago been destroyed by the elements or even vandalizm, and are hard to impossible to read the details. We would appreciate it if you would let us know if you did not find your relative which was buried here, and would appreciate your letting us use the information you know about them. With the combined efforts of us all, we can make the Upshur County website bigger and better.

Moore (1854 ? 1929), James Washington "Jim" Moore (1858 ? 1932) and Charles M. Moore (born about 1859).  Mary Jane's father moved to Upshur County Texas by 1866 which may have been when she moved there as well.  She married in 1866 in Upshur Co., Tx. to Drice L. Humphreys (born about 1834) and their children included J. T. Humphreys (1870 ? 1870), William David "Mr. Will" Humphreys (1870 ? 1949), Robert Lee Humphreys (1872 - 1947), and Rhoda Winnie Humphreys (1873 - 1899).
