RUTLAND

Walter Lane "Bud" Rutland Jr. 74,of Redwater, Texas died Sunday November 10, 2002 in a Mount Pleasant, Texas nursing home.  Mr. Rutland was born March 15,1928 in El Dorado, Ark.  He was a retired security officer at Day & Zimmermann Army Ammunition Plant, a Baptist, and a Korean War Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Pat Rutland of Redwater; one son, Stanley Rutland of Garland, Texas; five daughters, Barbara Grego and Debbie Gerhart of Mount Pleasant; Mary Goules of Houston, Texas; Jaquita Winkle of Tyler, Texas; and Penny Pacheco of Denton, Texas; one sister, Nancy Carpenter of Marshall, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Bates-Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tommy Weems and Steve Rice officiating.  Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Redwater Cemetery, Redwater.
