William Alfred "Al" Ayers, 62, of Pittsburg died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in Longview. Interment was at Maple Springs Cemetery under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Ayers was born March 22, 1945 in San Angelo,the son of Cecil I. Ayers and Opal C. Meglathery Ayers. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Survived by his wife, Patti Ayers of Pittsburg; son, Todd Brown of Carrollton; daughter, Traci Townsend of Abilene; five grandchildren, Sara Brown, Hannah Brown, Maddie Davis, Jake Ayers Davis and Gus Davis; one brother, Ronnie Ayers of Houson and his mother-in-law, Virginia Irby of Pittsburg.
