Verlie Thomas, 93, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco, Texas. Services will be held Friday, April 27 at Bates Cooper Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, TX. Verlie was known by many as a long-time dental assistant to Dr. McCauley and Dr. Barry. She volunteered over 7,000 hours as a "Pink Lady" at Titus County Memorial Hospital. She spent the past seven years with her daugher and grandchildren in Waco, Texas. She is survived by her daughter, Bobbye Corley, her brothers, Alfred Cox, Clifton Cox and his wife Margie and Kenneth Cox and his wife Francis, as well as two grandsons and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bill and Mary Cox, nine siblings, Charlie Cox, Butler Cox, Leonard Cox, Cular Cox, Fred Cox, Bera Willis, Lena Silver, Nona Thomas and Ruby Pierce, son-in-law, Boyce Corley and grandson, Tom Corley.
