MALAKOFF - Margaret J. Broach, 85, of Malakoff and formerly of Mount Pleasant, died Friday, April 21, 1922, in Waxahachie. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Bro. David McCain officiating. Interment is under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. Mrs. Broach was born on April 21, 1922, in Valley Springs, the daughter of Jean Durwood Avery and Sadie Sessom Avery. She was owner of the Hillbilly Café in Mount Pleasant and owned rental property around Mount Pleasant. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Glenda Tinsley of Malakoff and Paul and Wendy Parham of Round Rock; a daughter, Martha Parham Huckaba of Irving; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Durwood Avery of Marathon; and a sister, Helen Avery of Covington, La. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Leon Broach; her parents and a sister, Juanita Conrad.
