ORE CITY - John D. Adams, 69, of Ore City, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at his residence.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 at Ore City Church of Christ, with Johnny Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Ore City Cemetery under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.

Mr. Adams was born on Jan. 15, 1938 in Roxton, the son of Andy and Eulala Adams. He was a maintenance director for Ore City ISD and a member of Ore City Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Adams of Ore City; a son, Eric Adams of Portland, Ore.; a daughter and son-in-law, De Ann and Randy Cameron of Mount Pleasant; four grandchildren, Landon Oliver of Waco, Cara Cameron of Mount Pleasant, Brad Cameron of Nacogdoches, and Charles Cameron of Mount Pleasant; two brothers, Roland and Gary Adams, both of Lubbock; three sisters, Adell Barker and Wanda Sprawls, both of Lubbock, and Sandra Tyree of Kenley, N. C.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
