PITTSBURG - Jack Benny Ramey, 59, of Pittsburg, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at his residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 18 at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Camp County with Bro. Walter Allen and Bro. Tim Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Randy Acker, Randy Lain, Chris Lummus, William Mitcham, Gene Davis, and William Baucom.

Mr. Ramey was born on July 25, 1947, in Kingfisher, Okla., the son of Ben Blanton Ramey and Bertha Mae Nelson Ramey. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam in 1966-1968. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Sharpshooter (with rifle) Medal and the Code of Conduct Medal.

He is survived by his wife, Nina (Meador) Ramey of Pittsburg; a son, Benny Ramey of Pittsburg; two grandchildren, Montana Blake Ramey and Cheyenne Nicole Ramey; two sisters, Linda Morgan and Sandra Murray, both of Winnsboro; two nephews, Jason Graves of Daingerfield and Scott Graves of Little Rock, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
