Fayrene Thomas Neeley, 75, of Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, in Mount Pleasant. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 10 at Edwards Cemetery with Dr. Cecil McLeod officiating. Interment is under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. Mrs. Neeley was born on Sept. 24, 1931, in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Jessie Claude Thomas and Julia May (Adams) Thomas. She was a cashier at the cinema and a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Homer Neeley of Mount Pleasant; two sons and daughters-in-law, Troy Dycen and Elizabeth Neeley of Leesburg and Homer Darrell and Dianne Neeley of Pittsburg; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Toana and Ronnie Phillips, Elandra Neeley, and LaJuan and Marcus Dyke Justiss, all of Mount Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Danny Robertson, Lance Justiss, Laura Miles, Misty Hill, Amber Neeley, Brandon Neeley, and Chad Neeley; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Robertson, Dawson Hill, and Tyler Miles; a brother, Cecil Thomas; five sisters, Gail Forsythe, Mary Sue Fulce, June Rosewell, Katy Rosewell, and Barbara Brents; two sisters-in-law, Ocie Nicholson and Jewel Neeley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Carl and J. C. Thomas
