Ernestine E. Russell, 89, of Mount Pleasant, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Pleasant Springs Healthcare.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 17 at McAdams Chapel in Crabbs Prairie with the Rev. Billy Turpin officiating. Interment will follow at McAdams Cemetery under the direction of Curry-Welborn Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Darren McKee, Brent Mars, Tim Hill, Kennie Cogdill, Richard Hambrick and Jason Hambrick.

Mrs. Russell was born on Sept. 30, 1917 in San Angelo, the daughter of John and Rosa Pool. She was a member of Rayburn Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, the Rev. Billy and Johan Turpin of Mount Pleasant and Aaron and Mada Hambrick of Jasper; grandchildren, Tamria and Tim Hill, Pamula and Darren McKee, Karon and Brent Mars, all of Mount Pleasant, Cathye and Kennie Cogdill of Granbury, Connie and Jay Anthony of Conroe, Robert Hambrick of Huntsville, Janice and Charles Willis of Houston, Susan Hambrick of Lewisville, Richard and Gwen Hambrick of Corinth and Jason and Shannon Hambrick of Markham; 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Lee Russell; a daughter, Wilsa Rose Russell; and a son, John Lynn Russell.
