Daily Cope Tidwell, 100, of Mount Pleasant and formerly of Simms, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007 in a Mount Pleasant nursing center.

Services were held Thursday May 3 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel in Naples with the Rev. Glenn Griffith, George Otwell and Tracy Wilkes officiating. Interment was at Old Union Cemetery in Simms under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tidwell was born December 14, 1906 in Morgantown, KY (Horse Branch Community). She was a retired supply clerk from Red River Army Depot.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Cowan of Simms and Mary Kinsey of Mount Pleasant; one son, JImmy Cope of Mount Vernon, 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Vernon Cope in 1946 and Joe Tidwell in 1962, two daughters, Wanda Cope Barrett and Maxine Cope Foster
