DENTON - Bill J. King, 77, of Denton and formerly of Leesburg, died Monday, May 7, 2007, in Denton after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 9 at the Cole Chapel of First United Methodist Church of Denton. Interment will follow at 4 p.m. at the Crossroads Cemetery in Pittsburg under the direction of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton. Mr. King was born on Feb. 12, 1930, in Leesburg, the son of Herman King and Louise Payne King. He moved to Denton in 1974, serving as president of First Denton County National Bank and eventually became president and CEO of MBank. During this time he designed and rebuilt the MBank building on the downtown square in Denton and it is now the Denton Area Teacher's Credit Union. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Rauschuber King of Corinth; two daughters and a son-in-law, Karen King of Carrollton and Lisa King Watson and David Watson of Corinth.
