Texas Baptist Historical Collection

The Texas Baptist Historical Collection, established in 1933, serves as a resource center for Baptist historians, researchers, writers and genealogists. The Collection includes the personal papers of J. M. Carroll, George W. Truett, B. H. Carroll, D. D. Tidwell and many others. Histories of hundreds of Texas Baptist churches are also housed in the Collection, as well as numerous Baptist newspapers (microfilm and hard copy) including The Baptist Standard, Texas Baptist, Texas Baptist Herald. Of most interest to genealogists is the extensive biographical material, which has well over 300,000 entries in the index.

There is no charge for research services of the staff. However, there is a charge for copying services and for reproductions of photographs.
