Looking for descendants of William Henry RAINEY (1847-1907) who married Harriet WOODALL (1849-1926) in 1867and arrived in Tarrant Co TX abt 1883. Their children:Pete 1869 md Rosie?; Lilly Ann 1871md John GARRISON; Cynthia Ann 1872 md James BELL; John Wm. 1874; Emma 1877 md Simon HOULIHAN; Wm Edgar 1879 md Ettie CLARK; Minnie 1882 md Gene RICHARDSON; Maudie May 1884 md Wm LANCASTER*; Myrtle 1889 md Joseph ANSLEY; and two infants died young. RAINEY family came from IL, to IN to TX and nearly all the children married in/around Ft Worth, Tarrant Co TX, and resided there. William Henry RAINEY was in the Civil War in 11th Reg Inf of MO.

I am seeking information on the Lee family that resided in Tarrant county.My gr grandfather William L. Lee married Martha Treadwell in Rusk County, moving to Tarrant County l855-56. He died in l870, she died in 187l. They left children in Tarrant County, most old enough to manage on their own, except my grandfather, James Jackson Lee. He was probably less than two when they died. His older brother Alfred Shelly Lee had the family bible and all the family pictures. I would love to locate this family bible.

Tarrant County Vital Statistics and Dept. of Health in Austin have no death record on file. Edwin B. STRATTON died Dec 1936-37 in a rooming house in Ft. Worth, TX of tuberculosis. He could be listed as E.B. STRATTON or Ed Stratton. I would appreciate any help on this or how I may go about searching for this information.

I am searching for info on my grandparent's parents. Aaron Ross HAYS, b. 4/30/1883, Crowley, TX, md. Mary Eretta CARTER, b. Kansas, 1884/5, d. of peritonitis when my dad was 7yo,7/11/1926. Aaron's parents-Samuel Washington HAYS, b. 8/24/1851, KY, d.1925? TX, md. Louisa Matilda Griffing, b.3/5/1851,Kenton Co., KY, d.TX 1925?. Mary E. CARTER's parents were James William CARTER, b.1850 (MO,IA, or KA??), d.1925?,TX. He md. Jennie FRANKLIN, b,1854, Houston,TX, d.1929, Ft.Worth, TX, bd. Trinity Cemetery. Mary E. CARTER was baptized, confirmed, md. at old Trinity Episcopal Church-I have been unable to get the records from the new church. Jennie FRANKLIN also attended Trinity. I also cannot find Trinity Cemetery where they are supposedly buried. J.W. Carter is said to have been cattle manager of the King Ranch (their records burned) was hired away to manage the Ft. Worth Cattle yards. He was a gentleman cattle buyer. Please help?? I am in Kentucky. My Dad's 80th birthday is in Jan. I would like to give him some info for his birthday.

BETTS - DAMRON Seeking information on John Wesley Betts and his wife, CoraEthel ( Damron ) Betts. John Wesley died in 1932 and Cora died in 1966 ? at Arlington. They used to own a store in the town of Saginaw. Cora is a sister to my Great - Grandfather, William Riley Damron. Her parents were Charles Wesley Damron and Elizabeth D. (Bass) Damron. Looking for descendants of Walter James WILKINSON and Amanda Kate ARWINE WILKINSON. They had 13 children that I know of. Eldest was Dow Daniel WILKINSON,b. 1909 in Arlington, TX. I'm looking for Jack D Hudson, b ca 1885 in Kennedale, Tarrant, TX. He was married to my grandmother, Lillian May Williams in 1910, and had four children - Lola Mary, James O, Theda L, and my mother, Malvina Phoebe Hudson. Hearsay is that he spent time in Jacksboro, Jack Co with his cousins and brothers Abb, Les, and Ben. I believe that Abb was Albert who was married and had only one child, Mary Ruth or Mary Jane. I haven't been able to determine who his other brothers were. When Jack and my grandmother, Lillian, divorced ca 1924, he married again to 'Edna' - previous name unknown. Jack's occupation when he married Lillian was 'odd jobs'. Then I heard that he worked an auto dealership sometime in the early 1900's. Does any of this sound familiar to you? George Carter was born in 1857 in TX and was a lawman in Tarrant Co., Mildred Margaret Ann born1863 in TX, Frank born in 1867 in TX, Stanley (Doc)born 1861 in TX and Katherine (Kate) born in 1859 in Texas. I am looking for information on orphanages in the Ft Worth area. My ggrandmotherwas supposedly raised in an orphanage. She was born 1881 in Corsicana Tx..I have checked the orphanages in that area and none have any record of her.I find no record of her, since she was born after the 1880 census, until the 1900 census in Wise Co. She was married at this point. She was in thehousehold of her fahter in law: Reason M SLATE 54 TN Elvira R. 53 KY Jospeh W. 21 KY Lue E. 19 Tx THis is my Lula Ella JORDAN who married Joseph WallaceSLATE. Lula and her husband are on the 1910 Tarrant CO Tx census. Since she married in the Tarrant Co area, I was wondering if she could have been inan orphanage in that area. I checked with Buckners in Dallas already... Can anyone give me some help on this?
