There is a lot of history on the name FOSTER in the Lonesome Dove Cemetery I have 72 FOSTER names in this book and 42 of them are buried in the Lonesome Dove Cemetery. Some of these Foster's were Constituents of Lonesome Dove Baptist Church. I did not find James Littleton Foster in this book or Margaret Permelia Neece/Neace. They could be buried in another part of Tarrant County. If you have anyother Foster/Neace names let me know I will look up for you.

Look-Up Request: Andrew J. Hallford
Lonesome Dove Cemetery

REPLY:

Hi Catherine,

Below is what was in the Lonesome Dove Cemetery:

NOTE: The following FOSTER and HALLFORD graves are in a curbed plot. Individual names with birth and death years are also carved in the curb beside each headstone.

There are 8 Foster names and information, then the Hallford names you are requesting.

Rev. A. J. Hallford
b. July 18, 1835
d. April 15, 1890
"MASON"
his information was taken from the curb, the headstone is missing. Beside him is:

Dizanna Hallford
1839 - 1871
Her information was also taken from the curb.
The Fosters were the among the first Constituents of the Lonesome Dove Baptist Church. The church was formed in Feb. 1846.

Is Foster also the name you are researching?

I. R. Neace
b. Nov 5, 1816
d. Apr 16, 1879
and
Lucinda L. Neace
b. Dec 22 1818
d. Jan 15, 1884 "w/o (wife of) I. R."
NOTE: There are also individual markers for the above all broken.
Below the NOTE is:
C. C. Neace
b. Feb 6, 1846
d. July 8, 1930
and R.R.N. no dates
They are all buried next to each other.
There are more Neace members buried in the same place next to the above. This cemetery was flooded in the early 1940's washing up a lot of graves. They reburied them in a mass grave at the back of the cemetery under a hugh tree. Also, Markers recorded by DAR in 1956 show Neace names not found in 1980. Other Neace names: David I.; E. L.; Ethan Allen; Guy L.; Infant;, James E.; Joel R.; Minnie Lee; Ora M.; S. J.; S.R.; Sarah J.; T. A.; Thomas I.; Thomas M.;
The spelling is NEACE in this book on all the names.
