Estate of Joseph Yarborough, Deceased

 

Petition of W. H. Yarberough for letters of administration on the estate of Joseph Yarborough, Deceased. He represents that his father, Joseph Yarberough, died in Tarrant County, intestate, on or about the 9th day of November 1866. Filed Dec. 13, 1866.

Bond of W. H. Yarbrough, administrator; $500. Sureties: J? M. Gibbens and H. P. Alverson. Dated 31 Dec. 1866.

Inventory and appraisement of the estate of Joseph Yarbrough filed 28 Jan. 1867 by S. I. (or S. J.) Powell and E. L. Ealey. Included: house and lot in Birdville (title in dispute). Total value: $492.25.

Additional inventory. Filed 3 April 1867. Included: one Bible, on trunk, various household and farm items. Sworn by E. L. Easley and T.? A. Handy? (Hanly?; Hamby?) 4 March 1867 before B. F. Barkley, J. P.

Administrator reports that each and every item of property specified in inventory filed Jny 28 and additional inventory filed 3d Apr 1867 turned over to Matilda Yarbrough, widow of the dec'd as per order of the County Judge. Filed Jan. 18, 1868.

Final account of W. H. Yarbrough, adm'r. Filed 16 Jan. [error] 1871. Duplicate of inventory, with addition of account of S. W. Swindell, which he has turned over to the widow. Sworn 16 Feb. 1871 before Dan Parker, Clk.

to Matilda Yarborough the articles of property belonging to the "estate of my deceased husband. . . ." Included was a house and lot in Birdville valued at $400.
