Estate of Julia Stang et al., minors

 

Application of D. Stong "to have the last will of John L. Stong probated and for grant of letters Testamentary to my self. Filed 19 Feb. 1853.

Will of John L. Stong. Dated 7 February 1853.

"I Jno L. Stong of the State of Texas and county of Tarrant ... give and bequeath unto David Stong at the State of Texas Eighty Acres of Land bought of Chinatt and McComas lying in the State of Texas in the County of Dallas to sell or trade or dispose of in any way for the benefit of Michael S. W. Stong and Julia M. Stong also to settle any unsettled business also all my personal property all of which is to [be] kept sold or used in any way for the benefit of the sd. M. S. W. and Julia M. Stong and I do hereby make David Stong my executor without bond or security...." S/ John (X) Stang. Witnesses: Jno. A. Freeman and Michal S. W. Stong.

Bond of David Stong, guardian of Michal W. S. [sic] and Julia M. Stong, minor heirs of Solloman Stong, deceased; $500. Sureties: V. J. Hutton and Green W. Minter.

[Note: it is seldom possible to distinguish between the letters L and S in these particular records. The name of the testator, above, may be John S. Stong. Copies of the above records, along with others, are no doubt among those in the county clerk's office in the Dallas County Court House.]
