Estate of James Steen, Deceased

 

Deed executed in Lawrence County, Mississippi, whereby the heirs of James Steen, deceased, conveyed to Jimmerson S. Noble (also Jimmison), of Kaufman County, Texas, for $500, all their interest in a certain Certificate for a league and labor of land issued to one Richard Sparks as assignee of Floyd Jordan for the use and benefit of James Steen by the Board of Land Commissioners of Nacogdoches County, Texas on the 5th day of February and numbered 212.... The surviving heirs of James Steen, of Lawrence County, Mississippi, were: Cynthia Cummings [and] Addison J. Whitworth and Nancy J. his wife, of Simpson County, Mississippi; Miles C. Steen and Mary M. Steen his wife, Permelia Maxwell, John A. Steen and Angeline Patience Steen, his wife, William D. Steen, William S. Mullens and Sarah Ann Mullen his wife, of Lawrence County, Mississippi.

All acknowledgements were sworn in Probate Court of Lawrence County, Mississippi, on the 27th and 28th of March 1855.
