Estate of John W. Parks, Deceased

 

Petition of John A. White for letters of administration on the estate of John W. White, deceased. He represents "that the former husband of his present wife to wit: John W. Parks departed this life in the State of Louisiana at the Battle of Mansfield in the year 1864. That the said Parks deceased died intestate leaving no property except a small stock of cattle running on Pecan Bayou in a distant and unsettled portion of said State. That said Parks deceased left two heirs by Petitioners said wife. At the time of said Parks death he had no fixed place of residence in said State. Petitioners said wife is in a delicate state of health - such as precludes her from administering on account of the situation of said stock of cattle.... Petitioners ... wife's name is Elisa R. White and lives with Petitioner as his wife in said county [Tarrant]." Filed 27 January 1866.
