Estate of Susanna Parks, Deceased

 

Petition of Isaac Vannoy for porbate of the will of Susanna Parks. He represents that she died on October 12, 1861. Dated December 14, 1861.

Will of Susanna Parks. Dated Oct. 7, 1861. Filed Dec. 14, 1861. First - "to be buried with little expense or ostentation by my beloved relative Isaac R. Vannoy."
Item - to Mary Harris Vannoy, one negro boy named Albert born on the 12th day of July 1854
Item - to Richard Parks Vannoy, one negro boy named William Carroll born 15 July 1844.
Item - to Susan Jane Vannoy one negro girl named Susanna Francis born December 1, 1844.
Item - to Tennessee Vannoy one negro boy named Thomas born Feb. 3, 1830.
Item - to John Wiley Vannoy one negro boy named Richard Wilson born 29 January 1848.

The above named... Mary Harris, Richard Parks, Susan Jane, Tennessee, and John Wiley Vannoy... minor children of the body of Isaac R. and Lucinda Rosella Vannoy his deceased wife and Mary Elizabeth his present wife now living... are to have and to hold the respective gifts to them... subject however to the management and control of Isaac R. Vannoy their Father during their minority or untill the marriage of siad children respectively.

Witnesses: W. P. Burts, George W. Boon, and Joshua Addington. Proved December 30, 1861 by the oaths of W. P. Burts and Joshua Addington who stated that they "saw J. W. Oliver signe the name of Susanna Parks to the [will] at the request of... decedent...."
