Estate of Syl Olinger, Deceased

 

Petition of Mary Olinger for letters of administration on the estate of Syl Olinger. He departed this life on the 10th of March 1864, intestate, leaving property both real and personal. Your petitioner further represents that she is the widow of deceased. Filed 20 May 1864.

Bond of Mary Olinger, admrx; $500. Sureties: Edward Hovenkamp and N. Burton. Approved 30 May 1864. Filed same day.

Inventory and appraisal [very faint]. Filed 25 July 1864.

Final report of Mary Olinger, admrx. Filed 20 October 1865. The 160 acres of land belonging to the estate has been set aside to me as a homestead. There has been presented and allowed one note in favor of the Guardian of the minor heirs of J. C. Hood, deceased, $83.33, plus interest thereon for 4 years and 6 mos, 30. Total $113.33

Note of Sy! Olinger: "Twelve months after date we promise to pay Mary Olinger Guardian of Mary Hood minor heir of Joseph C. Hood, Dec'd 83.33 to care Eight per cent interest...." Dated April 30, 1860. S/ Syl Olinger, Thos. J. Lester, and Joshua Cook.
