Petition of John McConkey for letters of guardianship of the person and property of Sarah Ellen McConkey, minor heir of Joel McConkey, deceased, late of Missouri. Filed 28 October 1857.

Bond of John McConkey, guardian of Sarah Ellen MCConkey, sole minor heir of Joel Mcconkey Decd late of Missouri: $9000. Sureties: William Evans, Thomas (X) Sprouse, Louis M. Jones [signed Lewis W.], and B. F. White. 28 December 1857.

Inventory and appraisal of the goods, chattels, and effects of Sarah Ellen McConkey made 24 Sept. 1858 by John McMillan, William Evans, and Thomas Sprouse, included looking glass, flax hackel, pistols, bell, horse geers, Portmanteaus, books, bed and bedding, bed clothes, gun. Total value: $119.25. Sworn 24 Sept. 1858 before L. W. Jones, J.P. Filed 27 Sept.

Annual Exhibit. Filed 27 December 1858. The Estate of Sarah Ellen McConkeys. To John McConkey for keeping John McConkey Jun. from the 1st of January 1856 until the 25th of December of the same year, also his funeral expenses including his Doctor bill. For keeping Sarah Ellen McConkey from the 1st of January 1856 until the 1st of January 1859 including clothing and schooling The said John Mcconkey Guardian... charges himself with about $119.00 as per Inventory filed with the proper authority. Also $49.25 obtained from the proper authority in the state of Indiana where the body of said ward's estate yet lies Filed 27 December 1858.

Annual returns of guardian at December term 1859. through 1863 show expenditures for clothing, board, and schooling. Last report in packet filed 28 December 1863.
