Inventory and appraisal of the goods, chattels, and effects of Sarah Ellen McConkey made 24 Sept. 1858 by John McMillan, William Evans, and Thomas Sprouse, included looking glass, flax hackel, pistols, bell, horse geers, Portmanteaus, books, bed and bedding, bed clothes, gun. Total value: $119.25. Sworn 24 Sept. 1858 before L. W. Jones, J.P. Filed 27 Sept.

To John McConkey for keeping John McConkey Jun. from the 1st of January 1856 until the 25th of December of the same year, also his funeral expenses including his Doctor bill. For keeping Sarah Ellen McConkey from the 1st of January 1856 until the 1st of January 1859 including clothing and schooling The said John Mcconkey Guardian... charges himself with about $119.00 as per Inventory filed with the proper authority. Also $49.25 obtained from the proper authority in the state of Indiana where the body of said ward's estate yet lies Filed 27 December 1858.
