Petition of B. P. Ayres for letters of administration on the estate of Jacob P. Helms deceased, late of Fannin County, but whose property lies in Tarrant County, Texas. Done by request of Thos. P. Helms, the son of the said Jacob P. Helms, Dec. Dated 17 Aug. 1857. Filed same day. Advertised 20 Aug. 1857.

Thos. P. Helms waiver of his right to administer on the estate. Dated 3 February 1857.

Bond of B. P. Ayres, administrator; $2180. Sureties: M.T. Brinson and E. S. Terrell. Approved August term 1857.

Report of administrator that he has obtained possession of a note for $200 belonging to the estate of Jacob P. Helms against Wm. Wadkins, due July 1855, "which note I shall proceed to collect." Filed 23 March 1859.
