Estate of James Crotchett, Deceased

 

Application of John Burnett, by his atty, M. B. King, for letters of administration on the estate of James Crotchett, deceased. He represents that James Crotchett died 12 July 1857 at the residence of applicant; that deceased has no blood relations in the State of Texasr that applicant has expended a large sum of money defraying the expenses of deceased last sickness, board, etc; and that applicant is the largest creditor of deceased. Advertised. Filed 31 August 1857.

Bond of John Burnett, administrator; $500. Sureties: Charles Baker and Jamison Parson. [The latter signed his name James M. Parens, or Parsns.] 28 September 1857.

Inventory and appraisal made by W. M. Woods and C. Baker included 1ivestock; 1 lot books; 1 lot medcine; 1 Round Shave; 1 lot vials; 1 spear; 1 Razor, etc. Total value: $211.25.
Sworn 20 Oct. 1857 before William H. Jasper, J.P.
