| Letter dated 29 Oct. 1860 from Eliza L. Courtnay to Wm. Quail, in
which she states that she has received a letter from Mr. T. W. Masterson
at Austin stating that he could not send money due... he needs administrator's
request Mr. Tim W. Mann [not clear]. In a postscript Eliza states that "fees
of Mr. Courtney set apart by your honorable court to mention me and the children
of J. J. Courtney and to school them."
Bond of Thomas J. Lester, adm'r of the estate of John Jeff Courtney, deceased; $400. Sureties: Joshua Cool and B. F. Barkley. 25 March 1861. |
