Petition of John L. Purvis for guardianship of Elizabeth Ann, Sam, and James William Collins, minor heirs of W. R. Collins, deceased. The mother of the children has relinquished her right. Dated 15 April 1859.

Paid out in Shelby County: Note given by the widow and myself as security on 9 February 1860 - 110.76; amount paid Darnell, $22.; agent and attorneys, $30.; Doctor's bill in Hemsted County, Arkansas, $26.; W. N. Preston, Washington Co., Ark., $16.10; Black & Bros., $35.35; E. M. Daggett, note and interest, $22.58.

He has paid E. M. Daggett, Black & Bros., W. N. Preston & Co., C. M. Peak, and notes to Daggett, Dr. J. G. Peak, Benj. P. Lott?, one note on myself, and Chief Justices fees. He requests that court retain balance of $240.53 at 12% per annum.
