Eunita Trimble

Obituary:Eunita Trimble, age 90 of Breckenridge, died on
Thursday, September 22, 2011, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m, Sunday, September 25th, at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jeff Miller
and Rev. Charles West officiating. Interment will follow in the Baker Cemetery
under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held Saturday
evening, September 24th, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.Eunita Irene Pierce was born on
August 24, 1921 in Carbon, Texas to parents, Charles Elgin Pierce and Maude
Irene Reed Pierce. She began school in Carbon and later moved with her family to
Breckenridge where she graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1938. She went
on to attend Tarleton College in Stephenville. Eunita married Glen Taylor, Jr.
on July 21, 1942 in Breckenridge. They made their home in Stephens County, where
they enjoyed ranching together while raising their five children. In addition to
being a homemaker and a rancher, Eunita also worked as a bookkeeper for both the
Stephens County Ag Extension Service and Cox Lumber Company. Mr. Taylor preceded
her in death on January 9, 1983. She later married John Edward Trimble on
December 23, 1992 in Breckenridge. John and Eunita enjoyed their years together
traveling and spending summers in Indiana. Eunita was a member of the First
United Methodist Church of Breckenridge where she was active in the United
Methodist Women organization. She volunteered at the Breckenridge Library and
the local nursing homes and loved to crochet, knit and play the piano. Eunita
was a caring woman who loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
very much. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Glen Taylor,
Jr. and one son, William Reed Taylor.Eunita is survived by her husband, John
Trimble of Breckenridge; four children, Janice Taylor and husband, Herb of
Salado, Charles Taylor of Fort Worth, Judy Simmons and husband, Jim of Arroyo
City and Terry Fuzz Taylor and wife, Kim of Lubbock; one step-son, Carroll
Edward Trimble and wife, Shirley of Jourdanton; thirteen grandchildren and
nineteen great grandchildren.Memorial contributions may be made to the First
United Methodist Church and may be left at Morehart Mortuary.
