BRECKENRIDGE – Victor Ridley Sr., 75, died Monday at a Snyder nursing home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Melton Funeral Home Chapel of Memories
with the Rev. Andrew J. Channer officiating. Burial will be in Gunsight Cemetery
with military rites.
Born in Haskell, he was a longtime Stephens County resident. He worked for
Texaco Oil Co. He was a Presbyterian and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He
was a past Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge No. 1480 and past commander of the
American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Ridley of Breckenridge; a daughter, Susan
Ridley of Breckenridge; a son, Victor A. Ridley Jr. of Breckenridge; a stepson,
Donald Tipps of Fort Worth; a brother, Jack Ridley of Abilene; his mother, Alyce
Ridley of Abilene; and five grandchildren.
