Pansy Pace, 84, died Thursday, September 9, 1993, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the First United
Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Jim Abel officiating. Burial will be in the
Breckenridge Cemetery directed by Melton Funeral Home.
She was born February 23, 1909 in Breckenridge. She had been a lifelong
Breckenridge resident and graduated from Breckenridge High School.
She married Edwin O. Pace on August 30, 1934 in Breckenridge. He preceded her in
death on May 2, 1988. She spent 48 years as the librarian for the Breckenridge
Library. She served three years on the Board of Directors of the Breckenridge
Public Library.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she served as
communion stewardess for 20 years. She was a member of the United Methodist
Women, a charter member of the Irene Kinchen Circle, and a member of the Couples
Sunday School Class.
She was a charter member of the Breckenridge Womans forum and Stephens Memorial
Hospital Auxiliary Pink Ladies and was Pink Lady of the year in 1982.
She is survived by one nephew, Danny Flatters of Breckenridge and several
cousins.
Memorials may be made to the Breckenridge Public Library or to Meals on Wheels
and may be left at Melton Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Fred Payne, Jim Bob Coody, Scott Harris, John Connally,
James Sharp and Bob Whitman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Kingston, O.H. Reaugh and Ross Elliott.
