Elizabeth "Malinda" Smith Philips, Wife of George Philips Married 30 November 1847 Rankin County Mississippi. Mother of Celicity Philips, William W. Philips, Harriet Josephine Philips DeRossett, Melissa Philips, Cornelia Philips, George M. Philips, Jane Philips and Mary Philips. Harriet Josephine Philips Derossett was my great-great grandmother, I suspect Malinda's husband is also buried in this cemetary and possibly Harriet Josephine Philips DeRossett she died in 1899 or early 1900 before census was completed, she is not on census with her husband or three daughters. I am unsure of the exact relationship between Malinda and the Laurences buried in this cemetary but Malinda and George Philips were living in Jim M. Laurences household in 1900 Stephens County Tx census.

George Phillips is her second husband Married about 1868 in Tarrant Co Texas and all of the Phillips children are her stepchildren This is her first husband and biological children:
Terrell H. Lawrence 1824 – 1862, Married 11 November 1847 Lumpkin County, Georgia. Terrell Lawrence died at Camp Nelson Ark during Civil War
