Funeral services for Azlee E. Kile, 76, a former Breckenridge resident, were
held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Morehart Mortuary with the Rev. Bubba Stahl, pastor
of First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial followed in Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart
Mortuary.
Mrs. Kile died Thursday, Aug. 11, 1988, in a Garland nursing home. She was born
Dec. 2, 1911 in Desdemona and graduated from Desdemona High School.
She married Vibert Kile in Breckenridge April 1, 1929 and they lived here from
1929 until 1937.
The couple had lived in Colorado, Brady and Dallas before moving to Monahans in
1946. Mr. Kile owned Brewer-Kile Motor Co. in Monahans and Mrs. Kile worked for
the Popular Dress Shop in Monahans until her retirement in 1977. Mr. Kile died
in 1972.
Mrs. Kile was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monahans and had lived in
Garland the past three years.
Survivors include a son, Robert D. Kile of Garland; two brothers, Ross Elrod of
Ranger and O.L. Elrod of Eastland; three sisters, Retta McMurry of Abilene, May
Fair of Kermit and Dora Elston of Stephenville; and one grandson, Josh Kile of
Garland. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and a sister.
The family requested that memorials be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Memorials may be left at Morehart’s.
Pallbearers were Gayle Chaney, Mark Chaney, Dan Elrod, Earl Elrod, Jim Lewis and
Bennie Welch
