Funeral Services Conducted for Mrs. J.D. Hill
               
                Funeral services for Mrs. J.D. Hill, 67, were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Melton’s Chapel of Memories. Rev. Bruce Corley, pastor of Bethany Baptist Church officiated with interment in the Breckenridge Cemetery.
                Mrs. Hill died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday at Stephens Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
                Mrs. Hill was born Gladys Bertha Lee Mills on Jan. 14, 1906 in Van Zandt County. She grew up in the Wayland community in Stephens County and attended school there. She married J.D. Hill Aug. 14, 1927 in Graham.
                They lived in Hobbs, N.M. for 22 years moved to Graham in 1959 and to Breckenridge in 1968. They owned and operated electric shops in the area until he retired two years ago.
                She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
                Survivors are her husband; a son, Johnny D. of Houston; and a sister; Mrs. John Goins of Hobbs, N.M.
                Pallbearers were Lynn Bridges, H.B. Post, J.H. Mitchell, Sam Warford, George Wodruff and H.L. Alexander.
