Carrie Lee Harris, 84, of Breckenridge, died Wednesday, March 2, 1994, at her
residence.
Funeral services was [sic] 2 p.m. Friday, March 4, at the Melton Funeral Home
Chapel of Memories with Revs. Cecil Harper and Andrew Channer officiating.
Burial was in Breckenridge Cemetery, directed by Melton Funeral Home.
She was born on April 8, 1909 in Stephens County. She married C.R. Harris in
Stephens County. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1977.
She had been a lifetime Stephens County resident. She was a homemaker and a
member of the First Baptist Church where she was longtime secretary of the
Martha Sunday School Class. She enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Doris and David Thompson, of
Breckenridge; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Billy Floyd and Betty Harris of
San Angelo, and Clyde Roy Harris of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; one brother and two
sisters-in-law, Frank and Ozella Harrison and Alice Harrison, all of
Breckenridge; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Lonnie Ray Harris.
Memorials may be made to the “Meals on Wheels” and may be left at the funeral
home.
Pallbearers were Bob Harrison, Mike Harrison, Jason Thompson, Bill George,
Martin Harris, and Dale Seogo.
Honorary pallbearers were Ray Harrison, Frank Harrison, James Harris and Tommie
“T.H.” Choate.
