BRECKENRIDGE – Della A. Gray, 88, a Stephens County resident since 1921, died
Saturday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Morehart Mortuary Chapel with the
rev. Charles West officiating. Burial will be in Breckenridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Gray was born in McCulloch County and she attended school in Marquez. She
worked at Woolworth’s, Perry’s and Banes & Williams Drugstore. She was a
homemaker and a member of AARP and Senior Citizens. She was a member of Bethany
Baptist Church and was the widow of Don Gray.
Survivors include three daughters, Mae Golden of Dallas, Alma Barney of
Hollywood, Fla., and Kate Jackson of Breckenridge; four sons, Don Gray Jr. of
Anchorage, Alaska, Wilburn Gray of Breckenridge, Jim Gray of Little Rock, Ark.,
and David Gray of Jacksboro; one brother, Buck Millican of Mexia; three sisters,
Mary Weiland of Houston, Thelman Blanchard of Newhall, Calif., and Agnes King of
Lake Whitney; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association
or to a favorite charity. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today in the funeral home’s Heritage Room.
