Elliott, Robert “Bob” F.
BRECKENRIDGE (RNS) - Robert F. (Bob) Elliott, 45, of Irving, a Breckenridge
native, died at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul’s Hospital in Dallas where he
underwent heart surgery June 18. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in St.
Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Breckenridge.
The Rev. W. H. Beste, Rector, and the Rev. Stephen Carter, rector of St.
Vincent’s Episcopal Church in Euless, will officiate. Burial will be in
Breckenridge Cemetery under direction of Melton Funeral Home.
Born Aug. 20, 1927, Mr. Elliott was a 1945 graduate of Breckenridge High School.
He attended Tarleton State College and Southwestern University.
He served in the Navy in World War II and the Korean conflict. He married Betty
Jean Young on May 2, 1953, in Fort Worth. They lived in Breckenridge until 1967.
He was with the U.S. Department of Labor in Irving at the time of his death.
He was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Susan and Katie, and one son, Bob, all of
Irving; one brother, R.L. Elliott of Breckenridge; and four sisters, Mrs. Joe C.
Hanna and Mrs. Norman Brewer, both of Breckenridge, Mrs. Emery Shannon of
Andrews, and Mrs. John Hayes of Stratford, Ontario, Canada.
A scholarship fund has been established for the Elliott children and memorial
gifts may be sent to Melton Funeral Home in Breckenridge.
