BRECKENRIDGE – Eleanor cook, 75, died Wednesday at her residence. Services will
be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Melton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary
Barkman officiating, assisted by the Rev. Marc Childress. Burial will be in
Breckenridge Cemetery.
She was born in Coleman. She moved from Denison to Breckenridge in 1920. She was
the dietary supervisor for Stephens Memorial Hospital and a member of the First
United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of William H. Cook.
Survivors include three daughters, Jeanne Herndon of Balch Springs, Jayne
Rushing of Dallas and Jann Todd of Albany; a sister, Evelyn Stone of Arlington;
a sister-in-law, Gladys Cook Jones of Breckenridge; nine grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.
