Breckenridge- Fayla Brown, 71, of Breckenridge died Tuesday at Stephens Memorial
Hospital in Breckenridge.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Melton Funeral Home in Breckenridge.
Jim Cox, pastor of the Elliot Street Church of Christ in Breckenridge will
officiate. Burial will be at Woodson Cemetery in Woodson, north of Breckenridge.
Born Fayla Allison Jan 10, 1914, in Woodson, she married Jude Brown in June 1935
in Wayland. She moved to Breckenridge in 1943 from Woodson. She was a member and
former secretary of the Elliot Street Church of Christ.
Her husband died November 1940.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Hall of Abilene and Celia McWilliams of
Breckenridge; a sister, Glynn Wiley of Kilgore; a brother, Carl Allison of
Woodson; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be deacons of the church, Randy Howell, Tommy Wolfe, Vic
Verett, Mike Cox, Floyd Ledbetter and Phil Dye.
Honorary pallbearers will be elders of the church, J. L. Anderson, J. B.
Brannan, Richard Wood, Jimmy Dye and Ed Rogers.
