Stroke Fatal for Aged Breck Woman
Breckenridge, March 2 – The day after she had celebrated her eighty-fourth
birthday, Mrs. Mary Alexander died at her home ten miles west of Breckenridge.
Influenza and a stroke of paralysis were the immediate causes of her death.
Funeral services were held at the Baker cemetery Tuesday afternoon with the Rev.
Kenneth Pope, pastor of the First Methodist church officiating.
Mrs. Alexander was the widow of A. D. Alexander, Stephens county farmer for many
years, who died four years ago. Four sons and four daughters survive. They are
Sid Alexander, Albany; Ash Alexander, Breckenridge; Mark Alexander, Albany and
Preston Alexander, Breckenridge; Mrs. Emma Cude, Coleman; Mrs. Margaret Evans,
Milam county; Mrs. Etta Lawrence, Breckenridge and Mrs. Nora Wells, Lueders.
