BREWSTER RITES SET IN ALBANY
Albany – Funeral was to be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church here
for Edward [Ed] Jefferson Brewster, 52, Shackelford County Agricultural
Stabilization Conservation Service manager for 17 years who died Saturday in
Shackelford County Hospital after a lengthy illness.
The Rev. Marion E. Kirchner, pastor, and the Rev. Jack Riley, pastor of Moran
Baptist Church, were to officiate with burial in Moran Cemetery under direction
of Godfrey Funeral Home.
Born July 13, 1913, in Moran, he had lived in Shackelford County all his life,
serving as deputy sheriff and tax collector from 1941-44. A stock farmer, Mr.
Brewster entered the U. S. Navy in 1944.
He married Nadine Pinnell in Moran July 6, 1934.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Larry of the home; two daughters, Weda of the
home and Mrs. Don A. [Wanda] Middleton of Odessa; three brothers, Hubert of
Junction, Bob of Comanche and Sam of Moran.
