Margaret Marie Amason, 78, passed away Monday, Dec. 1,
2014, in Granbury.
Visitation will be held from 10 to noon Friday at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home
in Breckenridge, Texas. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the
Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow at the
Moran Cemetery in Moran, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of
Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Margaret was born May 2, 1936, in Necessity, Texas, to Paul A. Wilburn and
Arline Post Wilburn. She married Lon L. Amason, June 23, 1956, in Breckenridge.
She loved spending time with her grandkids. She always attended football games,
stock shows and other events for her grandkids and students. Margaret loved
parades, going fishing and she had a passion for teaching. She enjoyed her
animals, dogs and cats.
Survivors: Children, Lucinda Amason, Gary Amason and wife, Annette, Billy
Amason; grandchildren and spouses, Paul and Amanda Amason, Amy and Stoney
Naylor, Krystal and Quinton Graves, Sheila Amason, Amy Winn, Benjamin and Emily
Hingtgen, Mary Amason, Maggie Amason, Justin and Katrena Reeves; great
grandchildren, Allison, Chase, Austin, Braxton, Emma, Brenton; sister, Charlcy
Standifer; daughter-in-law, Teresa; brother-in-law, Jesse Amason.
Visitation: Friday, December 5, 2014 10:00 A.M.-12:00 Noon
Service: Friday, December 5, 2014 2:00 P.M.
