DIRECTIONS

Alford Cemetery (Old Beulah), Sabine County, Texas - From the courthouse in Hemphill take Hwy 83 East 1 block to Hwy 87. Go North or Left 7 miles to Milam. Continue North on Hwy 87 for 5.4 miles. Turn East or Right on FM 276. Go 1.1 miles to North Playcation Shores Road and turn North or Left. At 0.3 mile you will go through a gate, turn Left on the old highway. At this point you pass have entered POSTED private property. Go 0.2 mile near the end of road, then turn Left, you will see the small cyclone fenced cemetery directly in front of you in the woods. Cemetery fence has trees on top of it and is in bad need of repair and cleaning. I am told that when the fence was added, it was put around only the graves that were left marked and that the original cemetery was much larger than it is now with many unmarked graves outside the fence.
Additional information added in parenthesis. Last marked burial - 1926.
