Ephraim lived at Gosport, IN, a place named for his family.
He & Rebecca came to Texas in 1845 with other settlers from Indiana,
mainly the Beck & Henry families who setled in the College Mound. The
couple had
four children with them who were born in IN & had four
more children after their arrival in Kaufman County. They settled in
the northern portion of the county that became Rockwall County, on land
that later became the business part of Heath, Texas - land he received
through Mercer's Colony.
After Rebecca's death Ephraim married Mary Jane O'Hare Ham, a widow,
9 Oct 1884 in Waxahachie, Ellis Co, TX.
In the 1890's Ephraim returned to IN for a visit for the first time in
50 years. He died in 20 Apr 1904 at Seymour, Baylor CO TX, and is buried
at Peck Cemetery in Rockwall Co.

D F Goss of Seymour in Baylor County, died in Seymour Wednesday
at age eighty-seven. The remains will be shipped here and taken
to Rockwall County for interment."
