2 men were hung in Kaufman County on Nov 1 1876.
Before being hung for murder, both men confessed to committing crimes in Rockwall & other places. And they give names of residents of Rockwall County.
One of the men - Eugene Catchings - confessed to many crimes, including the burning of the first Rockwall County Courthouse in March 1875.
