With Deepest Sympathy Nancy Ford McIntyre
Nancy Ford McIntyre, 77, died Thursday, May 15, 2008Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 19 at the Christner-McIntyre Family Cemetery in Roberts County. The Rev. William Dale Nix will officiate the service. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Spearman.
Mrs. McIntyre was born July 25, 1930 in Independence, Missouri to Helen and Hugh Ford. She married Ben McIntyre in 1962 and they lived with their family on the ranch 90 miles north of Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ben McIntyre.
Nancy and Ben were members of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Amarillo. Following Ben's death, Nancy joined All Saint's Episcopal Church in Perryton, where she was a member at the time of her death. All were welcomed in Nancy and Ben's home and a plaque which hangs above the door exemplifies Nancy's grace and spirit. "He who enters is a stranger but once".
Survivors include two daughters, Mary McIntyre-Ladd and husband Jim Ladd of Boulder, Colorado, Nanette McIntyre of Amarillo, two sons, Edward McIntyre and wife, Beth McIntyre of Roberts County and Ford Hartman of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Seven grandchildren, Ford and Grace Ladd, Ben and Sam Brenner, Edward McIntyre, Skip Lesly and Brooke Hale. Nancy also leaves behind countless friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Panhandle Livestock Association Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 15305, Amarillo, Texas 79105.
