Directions: From Carthage go westbound on State Highway 315 for 7.2 miles to the blinking light in Clayton that marks the intersection with FM 1970. Turn left on to FM 1970 and proceed southbound for 14.9 miles to the point where Panola County Road 119 intersects on the left. Hopewell Baptist Church will be on the corner of this intersection it is an attractive modern church building with a sign near the highway. Turn left on to CR 119 almost immediately CR 120 will intersect on the left. Stay on CR 119 for 0.1 miles to the second intersection on the left that will be CR 118. Turn left on to CR 118 and proceed northbound for approximately 3/4 mile to the point where Buncomb Freewill Baptist Church will be on the left side of the road. The cemetery is adjacent to the church on the north side and the metal archway with "Miller Cemetery" can easily be seen from the road. The driveway into the church also serves an the entrance to the cemetery.

The older marked graves are in the center and on the south side of the cemetery. There is a lot of open space in the center of the cemetery and the newer graves are along the north and west sides of the cemetery indicating the presence of older unmarked graves in the center.

At the back of the cemetery is a puzzlement in grave markings. On the immediate north side of the grave of Toni Eason McKinney is what appears to be a recent footstone with "Honey" on it and just beside it is a matching footstone with "J.H." on it. There is the wire frame for a flower arrangement at the head of what would be a grave if the "Honey" stone is a footmarker. These two small markers are just above two graves marked only with Hawthorn Funeral Home markers. These two graves are that of Troy W. ? and Jean Goodwin. The "Honey" marker is right above the grave of Ms. Goodwin and might have been her nickname but the "J.H." does not correspond with the info available on the grave of Troy W. ?. There is also the possibility that the wire frame was for flowers honoring Mrs. McKinney and not marking the head of a grave next to her.
