LAZARINE CEMETERY


The Lazarine Cemetery is located 4.2 miles South West of Loop 224 in Nacogdoches County on the North side of Texas Highway 7 at County Road 715 (North of the Arriola-Cooke Cemetery).

This transcript was made 11 June 2002 by Ronald E. Gauntt.

Note Oct 2003 from Beverly Luna (great-great-granddaughter of Francisco Lazarine): Francisco Lazarine donated the land for the Lazarine Cemetery. A number of Luna's, children of Frank Luna who died in the early 1900's, are also buried here in unmarked graves in this cemetery.

Frances "Frankie" Lazarine - her date of death is incorrect (verified by looking at old files and the photo of the tombstone) her date of death was June 5, 1937. Frances Lazarine was actually Frances Eugene Lazarine, daughter of Anthony Napoleon "Poley" Lazarine and Mary Ruth Luna Lazarine.

LAZARINE, Maria Emanuella Chirino     married Frank Ciracco Luna, 16 February 1880; daughter of Louis Pena Chirino and Maria Gregoria YBarbo; (On this one there has been some dispute as there were two Frank Lunas and both married an Emanuella -- but grandmother, Mary Ruth Luna Lazarine, said this was the grave of her Mother. The other Frank and Emanuella Luna they are buried at Moral.))

Mary Ruth Luna Lazarine is buried in Forest Park Cemetery - Lawndale, Houston, Harris County, Texas; born 21 Apr 1886; died March 1969; married "Poley" Lazarine in Nacogdoches, 20 June 1902.

Inez Sepulvado in the Immaculate Concepsion Cemetery and Inez Sepulveda in the Procella and Lazarine Cemetery are probably the same person.
