Notes

f/s – footstone

Wooden Cross – There are 94 wooden crosses used to mark graves that do not have headstones. According to Leon Hutchison, the crosses replaced rocks used to mark a grave site.

C/S – There are 25 hollow concrete markers, approximately 4"x 4"x12", used to mark graves that do not have head stones. They appear to be replacing the wooden crosses.

Funeral Home – There are 4 funeral home markers, included in this survey, that are illegible and rusted. Names and dates were not visible.

Marble Slab – There is one marble slab that does not have writing on it.

Homemade Concrete – There are three homemade concrete markers, without names or dates, marking graves. One is flat and 2 are upright.

Future grave sites – There are 8 square granite markers that "hold" a site for a future burials. These were not included in the survey.
