Census Records

If you would like to transcribe a census record for Briscoe County or have already done so, please contribute your transcription by emailing me. All files on this site are free for researchers and we always source our information and give credit where credit is due!

The USGenWeb Census Project has many volunteer opportunities, as well as many census records on file for other counties in Texas and other states. To view these, please visit the USGenWeb Census Project or the USGenWeb Online Census Image Project. This second special project has images of census records through contributions from contributors and volunteers but not all counties have these images on file.

All census indices are free to search with a free account, courtesy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' website, FamilySearch.org. Please join their effort to transcribe other important records.
