Dalby Homestead Cemetery
Lone StarThis family cemetery is located on property now owned by Lone Star Steel and the site of their ore beneficiation operations. This was located east of Highway 250 between Hughes Springs and Lone Star. Since the cemetery was in danger of flooding, the Dalby Family petitioned Lone Star Steel in 1950 to build a wall around the three graves known to be in the cemetery. The wall or curb was to be 12' by 20' and 12" above any probable water level. After the ore operations were closed and the site leveled there is the possibility all has been lost or is now under water. The site is inaccessible. Following are the three marked graves that were in the cemetery. Cemetery is known to be predominantly white.

DALBY, Virgil No Dates Listed on the petition to Lone Star Steel as a grandson of James and Sarah Dalby. The grandson of which son isn't known.
