Midland Co., Texas - Obits: Burl (Jack) Jackson =============================================== Burl 'Jack' Jackson Burl "Jack" Jackson was born October 7, 1919 in Burkburnett, Texas to Wilmer and Fannie Jackson. He attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville. On February 27, 1942 he married Mary E. Henslee in Dallas. They moved to Midland in 1951. He went to work with Gardner-Denver Co. and also worked with Beacon Supply Co. and Compressor Systems, Inc. Burl was a life time member of the American Institute of Mining Engineers (AIME). Burl was preceeded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary E. Jackson. He is survived by his two sons, Jim Jackson, his wife Becky and their children Josh and Mandy Jackson and Mandy's son Hunter of Houston, TX and Alan Jackson, his wife, Delores and their children, Ben, Blake and Alyssa Jackson of Edmond, OK; one daughter, Deena Kay Beckett and her husband Everett of Marble Falls, Texas and their children Paul Nunn and his wife Amy, and their son Gavin, Donnie Nunn and his wife Catharine and their son, Jacob and Christopher Beckett and his wife Marisa and their son, Alex all of Midland. Mr. Jackson died Sunday, September 12, 2004 in Midland. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in Golf Course Road Church of Christ with Ronnie White officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Josh Jackson, Ben Jackson, Blake Jackson, Paul Nunn, Donnie Nunn and Christopher Beckett.
