Midland Co., Texas - Obits: Alice Ruth Graham ============================================= Submitted to the Martin County, TXGenWeb by: Michelle White ============================================= Alice Ruth Graham, 79, of Midland passed away on January 4, 2007 at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Marks United Methodist Church with Rev. Karan Young, pastor, officiating and Rev. William McReynolds assisting. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home, 3800 N. Big Spring St. in Midland. Alice was born on January 7, 1927 to Sid and Lee Ola Cross in Martin County. She married JW Graham on May 14, 1944 in Martin, Co. She was a charter member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and was very active in her early years. She taught Sunday School and was in the choir. Alice was employed for over 8 years at Amerada-Hess as a secretary. She enjoyed quilting and sewing, but most of all Alice loved spending time with her family, friends and at her church. Survivors include her husband, J.W. Graham of Midland; a son, Robert and his wife Janice Graham of Louisville, KY; a daughter, Pamela Graham of San Marcos; four grandchildren, Robert Jay Graham of Charlotte, N.C., Sara Caldwell of Portland, OR, Tawni Akin of Hobbs, N.M., James Graham of Danville, IN; six great grandchildren, Wayne, Melissa, Tanner, Chyanne, Wyatt, and Kayla; two great-great- grandchildren, Houston and Zander; a sister, Peggy Rose Creech of Stanton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bob and Taylor Cross. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
